Ndebele man booted from Boulders Shopping Centre
The manager of the Boulders Shopping Centre in Midrand has been suspended.
This week a video surfaced on social media showing the manager speaking to a man dressed in traditional Ndebele attire.
In the clip the manager can be heard asking Thando Mahlangu to leave the mall because he is dressed inappropriately.
Redefine Properties, the owners of the shopping centre, described the incident as ‘most regrettable’ and has
distanced itself from the manager's behaviour. Mahlangu meanwhile says he intends to take legal action
against the shopping centre and mall manager. For more on this, we had a chat to cultural activist, Professor Pitika Ntuli.
