Denosa responds to J&J debacle
The Democratic Nursing Organisation of SA hopes the temporarily suspension
of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine does not take longer that it should.
The suspension was announced by Health Minister Zweli Mkhize on Tuesday.
The decision comes after the US drug regulator, took the precautionary measure of proposing a pause on the use of the vaccine,
due to six cases of blood clots among those who’ve received the J&J jabs.
The spokesperson for Denosa, Sibongiseni Delihlazo, further called on government to prepare adequately
for a possible third wave of COVID-19 infections.
