Exclusive: No regrets for Dan Plato
Current Cape Town Mayor Dan Plato says he doesn’t regret his time, as a member of the now defunct National Party.
Plato says he was part of efforts in the Nats, to unify races, and he feels he achieved that.
The politician is one of three DA heavyweights, who want to be the party’s main candidate, to run for Cape Town mayor in the upcoming elections.
He first became mayor when he replaced Helen Zille in 2009, before being succeeded by Patricia de Lille in 2011,
and then he replaced De Lille again seven years later. Graeme Raubenheimer has this exclusive report.
