KZN health to review baby death report

The KZN Health department is under fire after the death of a newborn at the King Dinuzulu Hospital a year ago.

The mother Sithembile Nzimande endured labour pains for hours, eventually delivering the baby on her own.

Her pleas for help went unanswered and sadly, the baby died.

The traumatised mother wants justice for her baby, and plans to take legal action against the department.

The department’s HOD Sandile Tshabalala, told etv news that they’ve compiled a report on the matter, which is being reviewed.
