Members of Gift of the Givers sprang into action the moment they were asked to help.

Within hours, they were feeding about 4 000 UCT students, who were left stranded by the fires in Cape Town.

Founder, Dr Imtiaz Sooliman, says teams will stay on the ground for the next week or so.
