A ‘Life Boat’ for the homeless

An innovative concept is taking over the streets of Pietermaritzburg and it’s changing the lives of people living on street.

Instead of giving a homeless person money residents can now buy them vouchers which they can exchange for a hot meal, clothes or a service.

Our reporter Nabeelah Shaikh went to see how this new initiative, called Life Boat is working out.
