Nedbank’s new energy policy

NPO, Just Share, has applauded Nedbank for setting a target of zero fossil fuel exposure by 2045.

Nedbank has released its energy policy and updated its climate change position statement.

According to Just Share, it’s the most ambitious fossil fuel, financing policy by any South African bank so far.

Robyn Hugo, the director of climate change engagement at Just Share joined us on Monday.

She says they have been engaging with a number of banks for years on the issue.
