SA MPs to grill Facebook execs
Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Communications wants Facebook to account for several issues.
These include how the company intends to protect the digital privacy of South African users.
Parliament is also concerned about the spread of fake news and misinformation on the social media platform.
It wants to know if the company has a plan in place to combat such ills.
DA MP Phumzile van Damme has confirmed to etv news that Facebook executive will be appearing before parliament on the 25th of May.
