Not going down without a fight

Members of the uMkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association and other struggle veterans have illegally occupied a building in Durban’s South Beach area.

They say they’ve been promised luxury housing by government but authorities have failed to deliver on those promises.

Now they’ve resorted to illegally occupying government-owned buildings.

Today, they were evicted by police.
