‘We have real concerns”
Unions have reacted strongly to the news that government is no longer the sole owner of South African Airways.
Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan announced today that its sold a 51% stake of the airline to a new strategic partner, Takatso Consortium.
Numsa spokesperson Phakamile Hlubi-Majola feels the process should have been a transparent one.
She says while it’s a positive step which will see the airline operating again soon the union is still left with many lingering questions about the deal.
