Gumede to go on trial in July 2022

It's going to be another long wait before embattled former eThekwini mayor, Zandile Gumede finally has her day in court.

Her corruption trial is only expected to begin in July 2022.

Gumede and her 21 co-accused appeared in the Durban High Court today where pre-trial proceedings were postponed.

They're facing serious corruption charges linked to a multi-million-rand solid waste tender.
