Junior doctors still waiting to be placed

The Department of Health has not placed most of our qualified junior doctors at health facilities.

The question now is can we afford to be short-staffed at health facilities as the third wave hits, even though we have junior doctors available ?

To answer this we spoke to Tshepile Tladi, the Vice-Chairperson of the Junior Doctors Association of South Africa.

He says at this stage just under 300 community service doctors are sitting at home.
