Zuma's supporters flock to Nkandla
Political analyst Makhosini Mgitywa says he was not at all surprise that former president Jacob Zuma didn’t spend last night in a jail cell.
Zuma addressed the media and hundreds of his supporters outside Nkandla this past weekend.
He missed yesterday’s deadline to hand himself over to police and has asked the Pietermaritzburg High Court to stay his arrest.
Zuma wants the courts to reconsider its decision to jail him for 15 months.
Speaking to the media Zuma claimed that all he wants is to be treated equally in the eyes of the law.
Mgitywa says it appears that Zuma is hellbent on not going to jail.
