Transnet restores operations after cyberattack
It’s the height of export season across part of the country and local ports are scrambling to secure a full reboot
after a sophisticated cyberattack. Transnet declared a force majeure at key container terminals after its IT network was breached last Thursday.
The state-run port and freight company says it has since brought its system back online after a forced shut down to counter the hackers.
