Western Cape reaches third wave peak

The Western Cape has reached its COVID-19 third wave peak.

The province is currently the epicentre of the virus in the country with over 38 000 cases.

More concerning is that over 3 000 patients are currently receiving critical care treatment in hospitals.

The provincial government gave an update on developments this morning.
