With the Tokyo Olympic Games now in its final stretch, members of Team South Africa is slowly trickling back home. Unfortunately, they do so with less medals than they would have wanted.

After numerous COVID-19 infection waves and postponements, there was lots of uncertainty about whether the Games would take place.

So could this have affected our athletes’ performance at the sport's showpiece?
