Unicef: Young people still not convinced about the vaccine
Unicef South Africa has made an urgent call to increase vaccine confidence among young people.
According to a survey Unicef conducted only 55% of more than 5000 young people under the age of 25 indicated that they would take the vaccine but only if it was recommended to them. 22% said they were opposed to getting the vaccine and the rest were unsure about receiving the jab.
Unicef South Africa's representative Christine Muhigana joined us to unpack these findings and to explore how we can ensure young people are confident about the vaccine.
