Children’s fears around the COVID-19 vaccine

Parents should be open and honest with their little ones about the COVID-19 vaccine.

That’s the advice from occupational therapist Nasreen Cariem after the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority approved the use of the Pfizer vaccine for children from the age 12 and up.

Cariem says children may have their own fears around the vaccine and its important for them to be well informed.
