Phase two of GP school admissions opens

It's that time of the year where parents are frantically trying to secure places for their children at schools for the new academic year.

This year's Gauteng online admissions process for 2022 has been divided into two phases.

Phase one catered for pupils who are currently in Grade 7 at public schools and who are applying for a Grade 8 spot. That phase ended on the 3rd of September.

Phase two opened yesterday and is meant for pupils either starting Grade 1 or Grade 8 in 2022, but who are not currently in a public school.

Gauteng education department spokesperson, Steve Mabona explained that capacity is a challenge, because of the number of applications they receive.
