Billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong has big vaccine moves

Biotech billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong plans on conducting a trial for a new COVID-19 vaccine in South Africa.

Soon-Shiong who is the owner of US-based company ImmunityBio Inc has already started trials on a COVID-19 booster vaccine and will look at testing it with South African healthcare workers who have already taken the J&J vaccine.

One of the program co-ordinators for this trial is vaccinologist Prof Shabir Madhi. He says the entire game is changing when it comes to COVID-19 vaccines.
