Residents desperate to root out drugs, crime

This week we’ve reflected the desperate pleas of community members in Johannesburg’s southern suburbs.

They’ve been asking politicians to help root out drug abuse and crime in their areas. 

Yesterday while our reporter Rianté Padayachee was covering a story in Riverlea a suspected drug-related murder took place. 

She returned to the area today to speak to the family and local councillors.
