Booster shots for healthcare workers

Healthcare workers across the country have started getting their COVID-19 booster shots as part of the Sisonke trial from this week. The rollout in the Western Cape was delayed this week due to technical difficulties with the EVDS online registration portal.

Health MEC Nomafrench Mbombo went back to Khayelitsha where the country’s first COVID jabs were administered and vaccine skepticism has since taken hold.
