E Cape pupils locked out of school

Teachers and pupils from an Eastern Cape village have been locked out of their school premises.

A contractor who claims he hasn't been paid for building new toilets at the school in 2018 locked them out today.

Three years ago the contractor locked up the newly built toilets because he wasn't paid.

Then in 2019 he went further and stripped the roof of the toilets.

Now he’s locked the school gates preventing the pupils from going to class.
