Travel ban costs Cape Town Tourism millions

Cape Town holiday cancellations for this weekend alone has cost the industry more than R225 million a day.

This was revealed in a snap survey of tourist accommodation and industry service providers after several cancelled bookings. The move to suspend flights to South Africa has been slammed by the local tourism industry as it scrambles to save jobs in it’s already decimated sector.
