Heartfelt tribute to Taliep Petersen

Today, South African music legend Taliep Petersen would have celebrated his 70th birthday.

He was murdered in his Cape Town home 14 years ago.

He’s then wife, Najwa Petersen, was convicted of masterminding his murder.

Taliep is well-known for his work on theatre productions,

depicting life in Cape Town after forced removals.

The productions include District Six, Poison and Kat and the Kings.

If there is anybody who knew Taliep Petersen, it was his musical partner, David Kramer.

The two collaborated on a number of musicals, and this is what he had to say about his good friend.
