Kukithi La: A Threat to The Jabavu Home

Sli is thrown into a state of anxiety when she receives a letter from Ntando's aunt. The contents of the letter could potentially jeopardize the Jabavu family's home, and Sli is terrified of the consequences. Jabu,on the other hand, prays that the letter isn't from school.

Sli immediately shows the letter to Mkhapheni, and their fears are confirmed. The letter suggests that they may soon be demoted from landlords to tenants, a humiliating prospect that fills them with dread.

Meanwhile, Jabu is being driven to the brink of madness by Cikiswa's constant demands. She's constantly sending him up and down, and his patience is wearing thin.

Ntando is horrified when she receives a call from her mother-in-law. The trauma of her past comes rushing back, and she's filled with dread. The Jabavu family, determined to protect their home, devise a plan to gather intel on what Ntando and Cikiswa know about the threatening letter.

Ntando reluctantly agrees to let Cikiswa spend the night, but she sleeps with a knife to protect herself, just in case. The tension in the house is palpable as the family awaits the outcome of their plan.
