When should schools be reopened?
There’s growing uncertainty around the government's phased approach to the reopening of schools.
On Wednesday, the Department of Basic Education, announced that teachers would back at work from May 4.
Grades 7 and 12 pupils are expected to return on May 6.
But the South African Democratic Teachers Union has expressed
its concern as to whether health and safety protocols will be in place in time,
to ensure pupils, parents and teachers aren’t exposed to the virus.
