Internationally-acclaimed infectious disease expert speaks on COVID-19 in SA

On Wednesday Infectious disease specialist Professor Salim Abdool Karim joined us on etv news.

He has become the face of government's fight against COVID-19.

Karim leads the 45-member Ministerial Advisory Committee,

which advises government on the COVID-19 pandemic.

The internationally acclaimed scientist also serves

as the Director of the Centre for the Aids Programme of Research in South Africa.

He spoke to Melanie Rice.
