Sassa glitch payments causes chaos

Thousands of social grant beneficiaries have been told to pay back the money.

This comes after a technical glitch resulted in about 80% of recipients in the Western Cape, receiving double payments.

In Kwazulu-Natal, almost half a million old age grant recipients weren't paid at all.

As a result Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu held a virtual meeting with officials today to discuss the dilemma.
