This month, Contestants will face a Mystery Box filled with items costing less than one dollar, and with 60 minutes to create an outstanding dish with budget ingredients.

 Heston Blumenthal presented his Mystery Box filled with Australian ingredients (such as macadamia nuts and emu) and with 60 minutes to showcase these local ingredients teams face a service challenge: to cook Mexican Street food for around 500 people, mentored by Ben Milbourne and Andy Allen (from season 4)

A few dozen home chefs battle it out in the Masterchef Kitchen to earn the Best Chef title, judged by top Australian chefs.
