Things take a turn for the worst for Zethu, her mental health is in decline and she has been officially diagnosed with postpartum depression.

Zethu begins to spiral out of control as she goes through a haze of events, she is jealous of the relationship Nkululeko has with Fikile and blames her son Mepho for her misery. In an attempt to seek attention, she uses Mepho as a pawn- even threatening to jump off a building with him.
