They say forbidden love is defined as an act of love when doing something you're not supposed to do feels exciting.

When it comes to love, you might get a thrill from a forbidden romance or partnership. Sometimes, if you do get involved with a person, forbidden love requires secret-keeping, and this is certainly the case with Gabriel and Abednego.

Then there’s the other type of somewhat forbidden love, one that is abusive, one-sided, and just painful - the story of Mam’ Lili.

So, when Millicent and Makwande find Mam' Lili on the floor after a beating from Msizi, her husband, Makwande takes it upon himself to defend the poor woman from him. This gesture thaws the relationship between Makwande and Millicent. But the feeling of safety dissipates when Msizi returns and Mam' Lili chooses him over Millicent.

In the midst of it all, Makwande makes it to the specialist to seek medical treatment for his heart murmur but then bails at the last second.
