The Proteas Women’s team will don black in its second ODI against Pakistan this coming Saturday.

Cricket South Africa headed the call from President Cyril Ramaphosa to take a stand against gender-based violence and launched the much-anticipated Black Day One-Day International.

The team’s media manager, Koketso Gaofetoge, who spoke to Adrian Botha on Thursday says through this initiative they hope to amplify the message that gender-based violence has no place in society.

South Africa got their Spar Tri-Nations challenge off to the perfect start on Thursday after the Proteas beat Namibia 58-30.

It was the perfect result for veteran Bongi Msomi, who became the country’s most capped netballer, with 121 appearances.

From next week people aged between 50 and 59 will be able to register to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
This was announced by government during a media briefing this morning, where bold promises to ramp up the country’s vaccination rollout program were made. The country’s currently experiencing a third wave of infections which have surpassed the severity of both the first and second wave.
Government continues to implore people to behave responsibly and get vaccinated.
