He's expected to appear before the party's integrity commission.

The meeting was scheduled after Magashule, who's been formally charged with corruption in court, volunteered to avail himself to the commission, in an attempt to clear his name.

ANC Secretary General Ace Magashule and 15 others appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Friday morning.

They face several charges, including fraud, corruption and money laundering related to a multi-million rand asbestos eradication project.
The case has been postponed to August and the state prosecutor requested that it be moved to the Bloemfontein High Court for pre-trial proceedings.

ANC Secretary General Ace Magashule maintains he has done nothing wrong and is ready to prove his innocence in court.

The corruption case against him and 15 others was postponed on Friday and transferred to the Bloemfontein High Court.

Magashule's deputy, Jessie Duarte, sent him a letter informing him of his suspension.
The preconditions of Magashule's suspension means he's now unable to rally his supporters. According to political analyst, Melanie Verwoerd this could be key in limiting any potential fightback from Magashule.

at the North Gauteng High Court against ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa,
and the party's Deputy Secretary-General, Jessie Duarte.
Magashule has asked the court to urgently declare his suspension unlawful and unconstitutional. He also wants the entire ANC step-aside guidelines to be set aside.
Political analyst, Melanie Verwoerd, says depending on what the court decides,
this could spell trouble for the both the leadership and structures of the ANC.
