Former state security minister Bongani Bongo and his brother, Sipho, were released on R10 000 bail each on Wednesday. Together with nine other accused they appeared in the Nelspruit Magistrate's Court and face charges of corruption dating back almost a decade.
The charges relate to alleged dubious land deals amounting to almost R124 million.
The ANC MP joined us to discuss the charges levelled against him.

Senior ANC politicians in the Free State and nationally, are alleged to colluding with a powerful Chinese cartel.

There are claims the cartel’s been given preferential treatment in major projects in the province.

At least 500 ANC members from the Free State are expected to march to the ANC’s headquarters in Johannesburg.

Members are expected to handover a memorandum of concerns and grievances regarding issues of corruption in the Free State.

The reason is of course, the global pandemic The party's president, Cyril Ramaphosa says overcoming this Covid-19 pandemic, is the ANC’s number one priority this year. Ramaphosa says South Africa is in the middle, of a second wave of the virus,
which could prove deadlier than the first.

The ANC’s National Executive Committee is set to meet virtually tomorrow.
The meeting come at a time when government’s COVID-19 strategy is under fire,
and the public’s trust is at a new low. Political analyst, Sanusha Naidu from the Institute for Global Dialogue shared her thoughts on what’s expected to be discussed.

The ANC says its controversial Secretary-General, Ace Magashule is not going anywhere anytime soon. Reports on Tuesday surfaced that the party’s Integrity Commission recommended that he step aside, from his role as Secretary General, with immediate effect.
But the ANC is adamant that the NEC is yet to receive the Integrity Commission’s report.
